About us

Teenage Guide with Aunty Comfort (TGWAC) is a social re-orientation programme; one of the platforms of Media Ideals for Development (MIDEV). This platform was created during the Covid-19 Lockdown when we were inspired to engage the minds of the Teenagers by creating a forum for them to express themselves and help counsel them on those things that bothers on their day to day activities especially those challenges they face as teenagers.

Almost all teenagers have an android phone so we channeled the use of these phones by engaging them in a daily chat/discussion to keep them busy and not idle or tired of the whole situation of Covid 19. During this short period we were able to re-mould and re-orientate them to know who they are and the great virtue they have inside of them. We made them discover that they have great potentials as a perfect creation of God. We also made them understand that God has great plans for them and so they must not allow themselves to be swayed by the negative influence of peer pressure and groups. Through this forum we made them learn how to reverence God as their source and if they truly want to achieve greater height they must move as God leads. We help to build their self esteem, teach them to speak positive words in achieving their desired dream, counsel them on how to chose and pursue a glorious future and we made them understand that the change they desire either in their families, society, school, religious houses and even our country Nigeria starts with them. We taught them to speak up for themselves and choose the way of patriotism and not be followers of the destructive style of the world. We made them understand that if they can be outstanding then the future is settled and glorious. They enjoyed the family forum of teenage guide with Aunty Comfort so we took it further to visit everyone of them thereby informing the parent of what we are doing and intend to achieve in the lives of this young ones. We also had a get together whereby they all met, wined, dined and unveiled the handbook.

Our target is to catch them young and engage them positively so that they will not only have and build a glorious future but will also build and impact others towards achieving the best too. Teenage Guide with Aunty Comfort is now a family and we meet from time to time to engage the mind of this amazing Highflyers. We meet quarterly (every holiday) that is like thrice in a year to discuss the way forward, listen to some talk, hold seminars/conferences, talent hunt and also go out to share our views and beliefs on radio programmes and even television as God leads. We aim to change the mind of the young ones and putting them on track and making them great Teens Ambassadors of their time. We also have patrons and counselors who are also giving their best to achieve this great dream and with time we hope to recruit and register new participants.
